Apart from the main purpose of the book which is to provide a realistic and comprehensive panorama of the current status of the ICT development in Viet Nam, the 2012 White Book also focuses on the role of ICT as a critical infrastructure for economic and social development as determined in the Resolution No.13-NQ/TW at the 4th Conference of the Central Executive Committee (Term XI) of the Communist Party of Viet Nam. It analyzes the situation and orientation of the development of the VIBrand -Viet Nam ICT brand name products and services. Also from 2012, the White Book will be supplemented and updated with reports outlining overall situation of the ICT development in the year to reflect a deeper assessment of the Industry. In terms of content and layout of this edition, the White Book is continuously improved so that it is easy and convenient for readers. Hopefully, the book will be a useful reference for various government agencies in formulating policies, for domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises in preparing their business strategies as well as in seeking opportunities for investment and cooperation in ICT in Viet Nam.
